Dr. Estep is a teaching professor at WVU where she has been a faculty member since 2006. In addition to serving as the Director of the International Studies Program, she directs the Honors EXCEL Program, which is the Honors College upper-division program that enrolls students in experiential and community-engaged learning. She teaches several courses in international affairs that often focus on concepts related to peacebuilding, conflict resolution, and the role of civil society in democracies. An expert in experiential learning, Dr. Estep frequently travels both domestically and internationally with students through her role as the faculty advisor for WVU’s model United Nations program. In this role, Dr. Estep travels with students to three conferences each year – Washington, DC, New York City, and an international conference that changes locations each year. She has led students to conferences in five different countries.
