As the Department Chair of Political Science at West Virginia University, I would like to extend a warm welcome to all of you. For undergraduate students, our program provides a strong foundation in political science theory and methods, as well as opportunities to engage in research and internships that will prepare you for a variety of careers in the public and private sectors.

For graduate students, we offer a rigorous and supportive program that prepares you for advanced research and teaching in the field. Our faculty members are actively engaged in research on a wide range of topics, and they are committed to helping you develop the skills and knowledge you need to make a meaningful contribution to the field.

Location and Directions

316 Woodburn Hall

We are located in Woodburn Hall on WVU's downtown campus. You can easily access Woodburn Hall from the Beechurst PRT station and Mountain Line buses.
