Graduate Handbook

Please find a copy of the 2016-2017 Graduate Handbook here. This handbook provides department rules on comprehensive examinations, descriptions of courses, requirements for completion of the PhD and MA degrees, and so on.

The Graduate Handbook is updated once per year.  Rules changes that go into effect prior to a handbook revision are communicated to students by the Director of Graduate Studies, and may be listed below:
  • For the 2017-2018 academic year, the major fields available to PhD students who have not yet declared two major fields will be American politics, comparative politics, and Public Policy.
